TotalFinder emphasizes cleanliness, eliminating superfluous files and freeing up valuable storage space. MacOS Finder has a bad habit of cluttering your system with hidden attribute files. Just click the option in the Preferences menu and your much-needed folders will automatically be prioritized in every window. Apps like TotalFinder basically inject code into Apples stock applications, this is why SIP breaks them. TotalFinder’s Folders on Top feature takes file organization to a new level. The SIP feature protects the core system files from non-authorised modifications. With TotalFinder, convenience is key: With the stroke of a hot-key, it’s available instantly, system-wide. Re-installing TF 1.9.0 with SIP disabled (without altering TotalFinder.bundle) and then re-enabling SIP worked fine and everything is working properly. Now, however, it would appear that modifying TotalFinder.bundle is a no-go. TotalFinder and TotalSpaces2 with SIP turned on The installation process for our apps will be as follows: Reboot into recovery mode (hold cmd-R during reboot). It’s usually the first thing I do after installing a new TF version, and this time was no different. TotalFinder merges everything into a workflow-friendly, tab-based layout.
